All Hail the Power of Jesus Name

Words: Edward Perronet. The first stanza appeared anonymously in The Gospel Magazine, November 1779. In April 1780, the same magazine published eight verses under the title, "On the Resurrection, the Lord is King."

   1. All hail the power of Jesus' name! Let angels prostrate fall;
      Bring forth the royal diadem, and crown Him Lord of all.

      Crown Him, ye martyrs of your God
      Who from His altar call:
